Digital Activism in North Korea's Case

Human rights aim to recognize, protect, and guarantee the dignity and freedom of all people without any distinction. In today’s world, there are still groups lacking the recognition of their fundamental rights. This is the case of North Koreans inside and outside their country. But questions remain in the air: are people far away from that reality able to do something about it? How can people’s voices help North Koreans around the world?

El Día de la Liberación: un homenaje a la lucha, resiliencia y unión del pueblo coreano

El 15 de agosto marca un día de gran significado para Corea, ya que se conmemora el Día de la Liberación” conocido como Gwangbokjeol, un recordatorio de la valiente lucha del pueblo coreano por su independencia ante la ocupación japonesa. Este día no solo celebra la victoria en la batalla por la libertad, sino también la resiliencia y determinación de una nación que se alzó contra la opresión.

El legado del Hangul: emancipación, transformación social y cultura

En 1443, el Rey Sejong el Grande, junto a un equipo de eruditos, crearon el Hangul. El objetivo era crear un sistema de escritura más accesible, que permitiera a toda la población, independientemente de su estatus social o género, aprender a leer y escribir de manera más rápida y efectiva. El Hangul se basa en un sistema fonético, es decir, cada carácter representa un sonido específico; lo que favoreció el cumplimiento del objetivo de su creación.
